OSPF-4-BADLENGTH Errors in Cisco IOS & IOS-XR 
Symptom:
%OSPF-4-BADLENGTH : Invalid length [dec] in OSPF packet type [dec] from [IP_address] (ID [IP_address]), [chars]
Solution:
The device received an OSPF packet with a less than normal length field header size or inconsistent with the size of the IP packet in which it arrived. This error is with the sender of the packet and should be investigated accordingly.
